Being a real estate broker for over 22 years, it has been a long time since I have experienced a real estate agent like Helen. She is very professional but also has a rare quality of sensitivity. Selling/buying a home is stressful. The actual decision to move in or out is but one small part of a much bigger process that is a major adjustment for a young family like my own. When I think of Helen, I think of someone who was there on our real estate move from beginning to end, helping out in any way she could. From skillfully negotiating the buy/sell process to recommending insurance agents and even watering our flowers after we had taken possession but not yet moved in, Helen was a great resource, a big help and a wonderful person. We were very pleased with Helen Lightbody's endeavours in selling our house in Meaford this past summer.
rnOur house was an older Meaford house near the water and was well prepared inside. Helen made sure that it was well advertised to various markets of prospective purchasers and there were lots of viewers. Helen maintained a good rapport with the other REALTORS® in answering questions of people that went through and in due course, a suitable offer was arranged. We met Helen during our search our search for a rental home moving to Oakville from New York n 1997. Despite rental commissions being low, Helen went out of her way to find our home, and since we were new to the area, to give us a tour of the town and its various communities. We enjoyed Oakville so much, about a year later decided to stay and purchase a home.
